Coastal Vulnerability: A Brief Review on Integrated Assessment in Southeast Asia

Coastal zones are an essential part of maintaining sustainability in the world. regions have gained importance due to various factors, including high ecological production, dense population, industry compatibility, waste disposal, leisure, transportation, and development military strategies. Coasts often on move must adapt while nature constantly works maintain balance. Southeast Asia has prominence its rich ecosystem, productivity, densely populated coastal region. In light this, coastlines threatened by global climate change human activities. These factors exacerbate shoreline erosion, frequent catastrophic events, rising sea levels, saltwater intrusion. management become one most important challenges past decade. The vulnerability index (CVI) was developed identify manage vulnerable locations along coast. Thus, this review attempts summarize Asian based journals reports. Topics covered include: (1) introduction vulnerability, (2) methods for determining (3) influencing (4) associated (5) assessment gaps, (6) further courses action. Consequently, will support communities guiding mitigation strategies threats future urban development.
